The Rolston & Yale Hotel

Gateway to Granville Street

The Rolston was an especially interesting undertaking – even for Rize! Nestled between the downtown off-ramps of the Granville Street Bridge and the beloved 1889 Yale Hotel and Pub heritage building, the logistics of this project presented an exciting puzzle. What evolved is a distinctive landmark that now stands as the gateway to Granville Street; a mixed-use development that honours the legacy of this eclectic urban area while expressing its future. The Rolston is truly a unique addition to downtown Vancouver that gives back to the community with the heritage preservation of the Yale Hotel & Pub, plus 44 fully updated non-market SRO homes.
